I have large interest in Shan Hai Jing – The Classic of Mountains and Seas. The mythic geography and the monsters described in the book always make me wonder how they look like in real life, so I spent a lot time on drawing some monsters and hope one day we can use such features in media designs to spread its culture.

During the time when I changed my hand drawing habit to digital drawing, it was a tough and depressing because it’s hard to find the right feeling. For people like me, a screen or a layer does not equal to a paper in real world. So even though now I have to use digital versions mostly, I still like hand drawing and it makes me feel free from electronics, and helps me discover the nature in a peaceful mood.
