I am a PhD student at UCSC in the Psychology department. I am in the Spontaneous Communications Lab with Dr. Jean E. Fox Tree. My research interests are focused in artificial agent communication. I want to improve human-agent communications with devices like Alexa and Siri. As this technology advances I believe it is important to make artificial agents effective communicators so we can then expand this technology to other areas, such as having an artificial agent companion for the elderly or a communication partner to learn better social cues.
